We achieve this by working with selected prestigious senior high schools and arranging for children to spend a limited time during their vacation period in the school in Ghana.

We believe this arrangement benefits both the visiting student and the host school in Ghana.

Typically, a visiting child will spend one to two weeks (boarding school) in the host school and be involved in all school activities during their stay in addition to special activities that have been put together for the purpose of the programme.

It’s far richer and more rewarding than visiting Ghana as a family visitor or as a tourist, as students live with their peers and acquire knowledge not available to the usual family visitor.

Programme Objectives

  • To provide intercultural learning opportunities to support children of Ghanaian descent living in the diaspora to connect with Ghana to understand and appreciate Ghanaian culture.
  • To help students develop self-confidence, resilience, and resourcefulness by overcoming challenges in exposure to unfamiliar but friendly environments that leads to respect for diversity.

Programme model

  • Ghasep works with selected prestigious senior high schools (Host School) in Ghana that has signed MoUs with Ghasep to allow short-term exchange stay.

  • Visiting student will spend 1-2 weeks (campus accommodation) at the host school and be involved in all school activities during their stay.
